dapat yung tripod palagyan mo ng sariling claim stub para di mawala, yan ginagawa namin pag nag travel kami dala mga tripods, booms, stabilizers at slider, kanya-kanya silang claim stub...  :)

I always stuff my tripod bag inside my check in luggage. No problem so far. My friend checked-in his tripod separately. nagkaroon ng dent yung isang leg, mukhang nadaganan ng ibang luggage.

 :o :o :o

wawa naman

I sympathize with Mr. Henson but he also made blunders to begin with.

1. He could've hand carried the very portable ixus camera.
2. He said there were valuable pictures inside the memory card. Why didn't he save the pictures in the hard drive or print the pictures. Even if he had several memory cards or huge memory space, I just find it silly that he's going to a vacation carrying old "valuable" pictures.
3. Camera might have been stolen in HK airport not in NAIA.

depende sa package na kinuha mo. meron kasi sa cebu pac na hand carry only. so they might charge you if you check in your tripod. If you stuff in your tripod inside your checkin luggage siguradong walang bayad unless of course your overweight.

Better ask the airphil CS just to be safe. Different airlines might have different policies.

Pwede as FREE check-in yung tripod. Sabihin nyo lang dun sa mga staff saka palagyan nyo na label as FRAGILE para ilalagay sa basket and naka-PRIORITY na un hindi isasama sa mga tinatapon na bagahe. Ganun ginagawa ko on my international and domestic flights (PAL / CEBU).

i did this one when i purchased a tripod in HK, no problem with checkin at HK airport going to MNLA. had the tripod box placed with a fragile sticker and claim stub. nagasgas lang ung box ofcourse pagdating sa MNLA. Cebu Pac nga pala ung plane. and my camera bag was with me back and forth and just placed it under the seat. HTH.
