I was able to handle the phottix grip at the dpp 5th anniversary event. at about 50% of the cost of the MBD11, the build quality needs improvement. the buttons feel very flimsy.

If phottix has weather sealed capability, why not. Pero isipin mo na lang yung circumstances na baka magkaron ng delay when you press that shutter button. Sayang ang moment.

Besides, mura na lang daw ang MB-D11.

mukhang ok naman ang "feel" nong phottix.   check nyo lang po mabuti lahat ng buttons and wheels.  my friend bought one and baligtad ang effect nong command wheel sa grip as compared to the command wheel on the body  ???

hahaha, i'd save more for the mb-d11, i don't want to electronically ruin my expensive d7k.....you may have saved half, but the repercussions if ever anything goes wrong combining the photix with d7000 will be more than what u may have saved.... ::)

Tried the phottix yesterday at camerahouse and doesnt feel great. Aside from that kahit 2bars pa ung battery ng d7k that i bought empty na when i tried to put it in the battery compartment of the phottix. Build quality of nikon mbd11 is a lot better:) sabi nga nila " you get what you pay for" :)
