my friend who has a 550d is asking for lens recommendation to be used in shooting tennis and gun competitions. budget is 30k. thanks!  ;D

30k is rather tight for sport shots. you'd usually want fast telephoto zooms. luckily we have 3rd party lenses :P

check out the sigma 50-150, 70-200, tamron 70-200 2.8. I'm leaning for the sigma versions as they have faster AF than the tamron

I'd suggest getting a Canon EF 70-200 f4L.. super sharp, very fast autofocus.. tennis tournaments and gun competitions are most often than not, held during the day, and has very good lighting if held at night IMO..

you can even buy a good 2nd hand copy of this lens at around 24k-28k..

For sports i'd go with a 70-200 na 2.8. Kung 30k yung budget kaya sa tamron o sigma.

Malaking difference kasi yung 2.8 sa 4.0 lalo na pag indoors.
