black smudges displayed on camera LCD screen
« on: January 22, 2011, 06:10:59 PM »

Help!!! I grabbed my gears kanina just to stroll outside the dorm and take photos ..... however When I tested the camera ...... look at the pics ..... ganyan lumalabas sa LCD ng camera ko ..... parang on-and-off-and -on-and-off at about a second interval yung black spots na yan ......

pinapansin ko sa mga portions ng image na masyadong "white" o mailaw nagkaka ganyan ....

I verified the images dito sa computer ...... ok naman ...... something's wrong with my LCD display .... any remedy I can do?

napansin ko lang na nung nag power on ako nag lens cleaning siya agad.... never notices it before...... kept my camera in the makeshift drybox of mine for about a week at ngayun ko lang gagamitin sana ulet :(

anyone experieced this?

could be the highlight alert function turned on. you may enable/disable this somewhere in the playback options menu.

see p192 of the 60d manual

aka: blinkies.

blinkies tell you that that portion of the shot is over exposed. it's not white but it's highlights in the image which have no detail. especially useful in "white images" (i.e.: wedding dresses and the like).
