just bought mine last week. when i saw the wonderful brand break and how much the distributor was asking for a replacement of the glass which is almost the cost of a new one, i got myself a eureka....cost cheaper and the people at aperture trading are very accomodating. i'll get an ampro next at vetspecialist, looks sturdier and better than the 2.

eureka 5200 ++
ampro 6600 ++
wonderful 7950

105 litres and below all three brands are priced closely (ampro being a little higher)
but larger than 105L, ampro prices skyrocket

bought wonderful the first time because of the included foam pads and the one curved foam for lenses.  the curved foam is really only good for small diameter lenses unless i-salisi mo yung lenses.

bought Eureka the second time because wonderful didn't have anything bigger than 100L, and i could buy two eureka dryboxes for the price of big ampro box

the wonderful has both the dehumidifier and hygrometer near the top ... so you will see your humidity readings read low and adjust quickly which doesn't mean the lower portion of your box has the same humidity reading.

my eureka cab has the hygrometer at the top with the dehumidifier at the bottom so you will see the hygro react a lot slower.  i bought digital hygrometers to monitor the upper and lower portion of the cabinet and there can be more than 10% difference in humidity. (matangkad kasi eureka ko)  in retrospect, i should have bought the eureka 100L model and added a 3rd one if necessary.

or my dream cabinet is still the ampro horizontal dual door :)

Sa 10k mo....i'd get Eureka...DX-76 is about 68 liters ( correct me if im wrong ) sa Wonderful 50 liters lang mabibili mo kulang pa ng 1k-2k around more than 10k if im correct.

That is why i picked Eureka over Wonderful.

Spacewise, ok naman both. since i have experience using Eureka. i can say, the space is very good for two bodies and lenses ... malaim din siya. and drawer for triggers, battery and etc.

Aperture Trading people are 100% very accommodating. kahit tanong ka lang ng tanong. they will answer your queries without giving you an attitude. kaya mapapabili ka talaga. hehehe...
Hands down to Sir Frank and his crew!

Keep it up !

My personal preference goes to Eureka.  I've been a Eureka RT-48C owner since 2009.  I'm very satisfied with it's performance.  I had to sell it though because I need a bigger one.  Today, I was able to compare the 3 brands: Eureka DX-76,  Wonderful AD-088c,  and Ampro Explorer 8.  My impression:  The hygrometer of the Eureka looks much better than that of the other 2.  What drew me to the wonderful is the foam padding for the lenses, however,  I noticed that the spacing between the wells are not wide enough so if you are going to put large lenses, they'll bump into each other.  Cosmetically, Wonderful and Ampro look similar.  Only the Eureka has a handle on the door.  Also the sliding tray of the Eureka has adjustable dividers which is a big plus.  Eventually, I settled for the Eureka because of the looks and finish, the more accurate-looking hygrometer,  the adjustable dividers, and the my previous experience with the RT-48C.  Again, this is just my personal preference

Nabenta na drybox mo!! Nyahaha :D I'm looking into buying a new one. Have you compared smaller dry boxes, around 40L in space? Any recommendations? Where can you find stores that have a variety of brands and sizes? Your Eureka RT-48C was a keeper. Kaya nga nabenta agad. ;)

Yup, sold it today.  Lucky buyer because it's in like-new condition.  Sorry I was only able to compare dry cabs that are around 70L in capacity.  Again, kanya-kanyang taste lang but for me, mas pulido ang finish ng Eureka.  If you have only 1 camera body and 3-4 lenses, then you can't go wrong with the Eureka RT-48C.  But if you foresee yourself acquiring more camera gears in the future, better get the bigger ones para isang bili na lang.  Unfortunately, there's no single store (as far as I know) that carries the 3 brands.  I went to  Shutter Master Makati (Eureka), Tru Value Park Square (Am Pro), and JTPhoto (Wonderful) to compare the 3 brands then went back to Shutter Master to buy the DX-76.

eureka dx-76 user here.

yung platforms lang ang inayos ko, kasi mejo rough siya as is.. What I did was to glue a plastic posterboard dun sa platforms para di makagasgas sa lens.
put something smart or silly here...

If it's not much trouble, can you post a picture of that foam.  Just curious. I noticed also that 2 out of the 3 sliding trays of wonderful have foam padding (flat, not curved) but no dividers.  Naisip ko lang na when you slide out the tray, baka gumulong-gulong yung mga lenses.  That's why I find Eureka's sliding tray with dividers is a big plus.  Although too bad that for the DX-76 model, there's only 1 sliding tray.

Ampro for me, have the big one.  Bought it at true value parksquare then and been using it since 2007 and never had problems so far but have to leave it in Manila.  Bought an Aipo here in Singapore and based on the quality really just can't compare to the sturdiness of the Ampro.  Even Digi-cabi can't compare to the quality, it just looks very cheap on the finishings.

Eureka comes out as the best value among the 3 brands. Very good quality and priced very reasonably.

For me its Ampro, the structure of Ampro is more durable compare to other brand with tempered glass and i have been using my Ampro Digital 5(old version) for almost 7 years and its still working fine. Love Ampro  ;)
