This is the camera I've been waiting for an APS-C compact. I can live with the 35 mm fixed lens. Link http://dpreview.com/news/1009/10091910fujifilmx100.asp

This will wake up Leica X1 price, it's Leica X1 vs Fuji X100. This will not be a cheapo IMO, price can range at $1200-$1800. Let's wait for Fuji to announce their price and availability at Photokina 2010.

Notably faster lens and a view finder which the X! lacks. The Fujinon lenses are known for their great optics and as claimed the dynamic range will be nothing that we have seen of Fuji cameras. Take note the S5 Pro's unique DR and the F30/31 low noise capabilities at high ISO. This must be very very good if it is what Fuji claims. Can't wait to see the price and availabliity.

Very nice.  Too bad it's not an EVIL, but at least it has an APS-C sensor.

I've seen a lot of people wish for a longer lens, but I think this is just perfect, it strikes the perfect balance between people, 'scapes and street.

The size difference vs the X1 seems very negligible considering you have the option to switch between an OVF and a very high res EVF on the Fuji.  Though looking at the images, I don't seem to see a dedicated ISO button?  Though you have an Fn button, sayang naman if you have to assign that as an ISO button.

Hopefully processor and speed will perform up to snuff as well.  This is really really exciting.  Most innovation in the past few years has really come from manufacturers with 'new' lens mounts - Panasonic/Oly, and now Fuji, throw in Sony as well.  Fuji is practically an also-ran right now, with disappointing follow-ups to the F10/F11/F30/F31 series, but they just might be on to something here.

This just might be the biggest news for Photokina for me, unless Pentax has something up its sleeve aside from the K-5.  Although Olympus has also announced a luxury compact, don't know if it will also have a large sensor.

Wow. Magkano kaya?

According to a Japanese website, between 120,000 to 150,000 Yen ... which translate to roughly P62,000 to P77,500 in Japan.
