D90 now =32-34k
d7000 now= 58k
Price difference,approximately=32-34 din, isa pang d90 o kaya isang 85 mm 1.8 at 50 mm 1.8, maysukli pa!!!

If you own a d90 and sell it after 6 months to get the d7000
d90= maybe 22-25k ( lugi ka 8-10k, pero parang ng rent ka ng 1.6k per month.
d7000 (stabilized) mga 45-50K, lugi ka ng 8-10K.
Parang ganon rin unless you will wait for 2 years, then it is a different story pero wala ng value ang d90 mo pero the d7000 will be around 25k ( assuming lang).Yong dalawa mong lenses valuable pa rin

Let us accept the fact that in photography, the body is get to be replaced now and then. The latest is always the greatest. IMHO, just get the d7k ( if you have completed your lens line up)and be over it!!! ;D :D ;)Otherwise  the d90 is really a good option!!!and you will have platform to build on your lenses.

thank you. this is a very enlightening post for me. :)

in 2008> d90 body = 1000 usd, us msrp  (approx 48k, $ @  = 48 php, late 2008)
2010> d7000 body = 1200 usd, us msrp  (approx 51-52k, $ @ 42.53 php, today's rate)

if  im not mistaken, initial quiapo price of d90 grey unit was around 50-52k then
two years later> today, price had been lowered to 35% (hence, 32-34k street price)

given an initial street price of 58k for d7000 (price is still good if ever u wanna compare features/value of d90 @50k  in 2008. but i was expecting it to be launched @54-55k street, given a stronger peso these days. its quite obvious a CASE of HIGHER DEMAND but with (iNITIALLy) limited supply, hence HIGHER PRICE tag dictates at this time.

for hardworking, practical photog-enthusiast looking for great-value-for-money, d90 @33k today is obviously a steal :)

but if you are type of shooter that thinks d90 features is limiting you, then go ahead and climb the stair.

i read somewhere from an experienced shooter, that d90 is practically adequate, even for advance enthusiasts (and some semi-pro users). he said that it would be just fine for 90% of most shooters -thats his opinion. i tend to agree :)

the 25k difference can be added into investing in accessories or high quality optics (fast, brighter, bokeh-creamy), which could probably last 10years or so and still be relevant :)

remember, there will be a newer and better camera for the same msrp of d7000 in two years time, and another one coming in two years after that..and another one..

in the end, its always your personal decision that would matter. to each his own.

still can't decide whether to sell my D60+tamron 17-50+sigma 70-200 and get a D7000 and start investing for another lens set up.. i love shooting events/concert and I need that decent ISO handling, fps, more AF points..

or

keep my 2 lenses.. sell my D60 and just get a D90..

or

keep them all and get another body next year since ang hirap na ibenta ng D60 ngayon..  >:(

panalo yung mga startup na photog na gusto maging pro... 2 x d90 agad. Mas madaling mag ROI ... hindi naman halata ng mga client ang output ng d7000/d300/d300s sa d90.

Actually all cameras perform the same in ample lighting conditions.. what differs em is how they perform under lowlight conditions. But the d90 is a very capable camera. Bang for buck....

yep! exactly!! actually comparing my friends shots with D40 to my D90 outdoors with good lighting, walang pinagkaiba. parehas na kuhang dSLR pa rin..he he..although i cringe when i hold the D40 because of the LCD screen and i can't change a lot of settings like on my D90 with one hand. ofcourse nagkakatalo sa lowlight performance.

my bro-in-law ordered a D7000 and he'll have it by end of the month, hopefully i can resist the upgrade when i get to hold it. But getting the D7000 body only makes me itch..grrr..

amazon price of D7000 is crazy..from $1999 for body only and almost all stores are out of stock. somewhat kicking myself now for not getting it when BestBuy had it. flip flopping as usual, to upgrade or not to upgrade.
