For those who will have the privilege of owning it first, update us esp. the hot pixels issue when in Live view and putting it against a very dark background. The other one is the oxidizing issue that make lenses fail to AF even with the Nikkor lenses. It was reported to be occurring among Sigmas but then it can happen to Nikkors too!!Again, those are internet feed backs and I have no way of confirming it if it is really true or just another "rumors".
If you go to the shop, you can test it right away and if you notice some hot pixels that are too many or unacceptable then you know what to do!!!

Good luck. I hope next week you can give us your reviews!!!Why not? It is a very stable and durable product!!
The d90 is a good buy too!!!However, medyo luma na ang tech but it does not mean that it won't take great pictures!!!Pwede pa rin at hindi pwede na!!! ;) :D ;D

hmmm..looks like i'll wait then even more. when i first heard D7000 news and specs i'm jumping for joy and ready to buy! but now that it has come out parang medyo nag mellow down na excitement ko. Overall what's keeping me still interested is the high iso low light performance and some people saying it's "almost" as good as D700. I don't really need the dual SD slot, 1080p video is nice to have the but autofocus noise is starting to turn me off. I'm weighing options and looks like i'll stick with my D90 for the types of pictures i take (hobby, family events, kids). I think it being out-of stock and back-ordered is a blessing in disguise as i would have certainly got it if it's not. "Just got to have the latest gadget" syndrome yep guilty as charge. Medyo nakapag isip isip pa tuloy. Maybe i need to stop reading on reviews, unboxing videos, this thread! ha ha.. and just concentrate more on improving on taking photos, post-processing etc.

Same here, I would have bought the D7000 if readily available. Now am having second thoughts given that the D90 body is now only about 33k in Hidalgo (versus 58k for the D7000 body). The price difference can get me another lens or flash already. And after a 2 year rest from photography (got hooked to road cycling), the D7000 might be "too much camera" for me (still using my trusty D50 currently). I think the D90 would suit me just fine for the pics I take (kids, my daughter's gymnastics, family events). But then again, not sure if I can resist once I touch or try the D7000.:) Should get the D90 before the D7000 inventory arrives in Hidalgo.

or maybe releasing another model?  :D

might be too soon for canon to release another APS-C camera but who knows?

based on the specs and initial reviews, the D7000 is one helluva camera and if this is already what we're seeing, we can expect more from the D300/S successor.  although i'm a canon user, i'm also excited to see more of the D7000 in action :) :)

D90 now =32-34k
d7000 now= 58k
Price difference,approximately=32-34 din, isa pang d90 o kaya isang 85 mm 1.8 at 50 mm 1.8, maysukli pa!!!

If you own a d90 and sell it after 6 months to get the d7000
d90= maybe 22-25k ( lugi ka 8-10k, pero parang ng rent ka ng 1.6k per month.
d7000 (stabilized) mga 45-50K, lugi ka ng 8-10K.
Parang ganon rin unless you will wait for 2 years, then it is a different story pero wala ng value ang d90 mo pero the d7000 will be around 25k ( assuming lang).Yong dalawa mong lenses valuable pa rin

Let us accept the fact that in photography, the body is get to be replaced now and then. The latest is always the greatest. IMHO, just get the d7k ( if you have completed your lens line up)and be over it!!! ;D :D ;)Otherwise  the d90 is really a good option!!!and you will have platform to build on your lenses.

Hindi naman siguro lahat. Hehehe. Pero kung sa lens na lang siguro mas oks pa and oks na oks na ang Nikon D90 plus magagandang lente. ;D Siguro mga 2 years eh nasa P35,000.00 to P40,000.00 'yan.

May kilala din ako na user siya ng Canon 400D pero recently lang, nag upgrade siya to Canon 7D and Canon 5D Mark II, sarap nung pag upgrade niya. Hehehe. OT na pala.
