Hey Brian, this Gariz soft shutter release button really works! Well, I haven't done any scientific comparisons but I certainly feel more confident when I press the shutter, the finger feels more steady, and the tactile feedback is very solid. I don't feel as if I'm flinching (if you shoot pistols you know what I mean).

You remember that over a year ago I asked you if there was any such gadget, like I used to buy for my Nikon film cameras. Back then, this was screwed into the cable release socket which was standard in most SLR shutter buttons. DSLRs have no such socket. At that time there was no such accessory for DSLRs. Well, now there is and I'm very happy I bought this. This is even better than the ones I remember from film SLR days because this one rotates and the rotating movement allows the thing to adjust to your finger position rather than resisting the placing of your finger.

BTW I'm giving the other one to my son to attach to his camera.

Cheers,
Junbo

Spent some time getting used to my first set... then lost the "red" one that I need to get used to the camera without it that I decided to buy another set... :D

When I first had it on my camera, it seemed obtrusive but as you get used to it, it's great to have them...

Following are some photos that I have showing these buttons...
(a) black

(b) red

Just want to share my photos of Gariz buttons on my gear...

On the aesthetic side of the product, I liked both the red and black buttons but love the black one more because of its holographic properties. Function-wise, both buttons works well for me.

Be careful though to center it well over the shutter release button when fixing it into position as the adhesive is really sticky and it would be difficult to reposition it later and not damage the adhesive.
 ;)

Is this different from the Soft shutter for GF1?  or is this the same?  If not, do you have for GF1 too?

Please PM me price...

Thanks!
