Canon Extender EF 2x II lens...
« on: November 10, 2009, 06:33:54 AM »
As part of the process of keeping / disposing my 70-200 f2.8L IS, one option na naisip ko is to get this extender lens.  Again the only application I can see right now for me would be the snipping capability (making it 140-400)...but my concern now is the IQ.  Has anybody out there have any experience with this extender lens? Okay ba ang performance?

I have one... there is a drop in IQ, but it is a cheaper alternative than getting a 100-400 L... decided to buy one since I needed a long telephoto zoom for my outdoor sports shots... didn't have enough money for a 100-400 (aside from having difficulty getting one)... if getting the shot is your concern, it's good... but for high IQ, you may be better off with a dedicated long telephoto zoom...

Chappy, consider the 1.4x extender. I heard it produces better IQ than the 2x.

Cheers!
