I need help with my canon ixus 860is
« on: May 18, 2009, 11:57:42 PM »
could you guys give me some tips on how to use this camera? pictures i took with this camera don't always come out right.

here are some shots i took:

how can i make the above pics to look like these:(taken with a sony cam):

totoo din ba na dapat lagi naka-set sa highest resolution ang cam para lumabas na maganda mga kuha ko? sa mga kuha ko kasi lagi lang naka set lang sa 640 x 480 ang resolution, is that the reason why my pictures came out like that?

I also have an ixus pero 850 IS..

yes.. always use the highest resolution..

Tapos meron dun selection sa menu ng Manual. Choose M

pindot mo yung OK button para lumabas yung menu while youre on shooting mode (as in you are ready to shoot with the LCD showing what the camera can see). then meron dun My Colors.. use the Vivid setting to make the colors brighter.

The rest is just manipulating your camera of course with the help of your handy manual booklet. :)

From what I see: move closer, or zoom in closer.

Photo 1: your pic caught the sun, hence the washout look.  A tighter crop as the shot was taken would avoid this.
Photo 2: the flash is not contributing much to the scene (you can tell by the fg/bg contrast, or lack thereof), so the cam probably compensated by increasing ISO.  Moving closer would make the flash more efficient, so the cam could use a lower ISO for better contrast.

hindi ba kapag nakalagay sa auto mode ang cam ko ang ibig sabihin eh kusa nang mag aadjust ang cam sa mga pictures na kukunan ko?

meron ba constant settings(i'm not sure kasi on what term to use) for my cam. what i mean is, pano ko dapat i-set ang cam ko para everytime may kukunan ako i dont have to keep on changing the settings na.
