Fuji's has got be the best in color rendering among the DSLRs. Though the S3 happens to be also the slowest among it's class in terms of image processing and buffering. The S3 is also aimed towards the advance amatuer to the pro's, but no matter how we justify that 6 megapixel is enough, the competition are in the double digit resolution already. The S3 maybe advertised as a 12 megapixel camera, but even if it uses 12 megapixel to capture an image, it processes it to a 6 megapixel output, from this 6 megapixel output it interpolates (just like what you do in Photo Shop) to give you 12 megapixel, so its not really 12 megapixels. This is very technical how they do it, and it would take a longer post to explain it. The Fuji uses a modified body of a Nikon F80, but since its not a Nikon brand, it doesn't get to use the newer technologies Nikon cameras has, like the AF sensor of the D200 or the i-TTL flash metering.

Though if you don't require more than 6 megapixel and you can get this camera at a cheap price (under 70k brand new) then it can be considered a good buy. Though if you will be paying over 100k, the local retail price, then you might be better off looking somewhere else.

Ken I noticed that a lot of wedding photos use or was using the S3 Pro--it's because of this reason di ba? I saw some of Jong's shots straight from the cam--maganda talaga ang skin tones with the S3 Pro.

Most likely, and since with wedding you don't really need that much resolution. Though for the fast pace parts of a wedding, I think Jong still relies more on his D2Hs.
