Kakatuwa itong thread na ito!

I tried to lure my fiancee into photography. When I had my D80, I got her a D40x to use. She liked taking pics but didn't know how to use the settings.

Yet she caught this w/ my D80 (funniest pic of my son after swimming)

So I sold both to get a D200  :D

Now, getting a D40 to lure her once again plus my brother and his wife hehehe.

:D  haahha!

I just got us a D40 as a starter camera... kasi we're both newbie... I really saved my money for the kit. Tapos I told him, oh... ayan since you're using it and mas marami ka pang nakuhang mga magagandang shots, ikaw na ang bahala sa lens, sa macbook and other accessories.. hahaha.. evil.

Back in those days na wala pang alam ang wife ko about photography, kahit anong gear ang iuwi ko sa bahay ok lang makita nya. ang tingin nya kasi noon sa gears eh pareho. gaya ng nikkor 18-70mm ko, pinalitan ko ng nikkor 12-24mm hindi nya napansin. akala nya un pa rin. kasi parehas kulay itim. ;D

..and the boyfies.. 8)

life changing things that happened after i fell into the dark side of photography:

before, you save up for months to get yourself a new mobile phone that costs 10,000++Php..

haaay.. wachuthink? what's your share?  :-\

i think hindi lang 'to applicable sa ladies. hehe, iba kasi talaga pag photography. hindi natin matiis yung itch to buy new (or second hand) gears.

i think mas matipid and okay yun if pareho kayo ng hobby ng partner mo.  wag mo lang sisirain gear niya. ;)

ok to ha ang ganda ng thread. mas natutuwa GF ko pag sa photography ako kasi na nakikita nya talaga kung saan ako galing kaysa nasa band ako. kasi after ng photoshoot tinitignan nya agad yung can ko kaya walang maitago. madalas pa may group hug kaya di nagagalit kasi may IBIDINSYA ako. hehehe di kagaya nung nasa band ako lagi nagdududa... naku laging away!  ;D ;D ;D

naalala ko sabi ni Sir John Chua in one of the FPPF seminars..

Pag maganda ang shot, ibibili ka ng more new gear to get better pics..

so i guess it applies to our bossings.. kunan mo siya nang maganda.. tapos tell her na you need a new lens para talagang mas maganda siya sa pics.  :p

hehe nice posts here =)

my GF and I got into photography last year and all the costs for lenses etc have all been shared

ang problem lang is when we're both out of the country.. who gets to use the 400D?

we're currently using the "possession arrow" i.e. last time it was mine, so this time it's her turn haha oh well

really need a second body.. hopefully she'll share the cost again =D

Nice post :)

Well it was kinda weird na ako yun nagpursue ng photography ngayon pero si boypren yun "photographer" ng media group namin nung college...

Since I'm the one involved with photography, my dearest is my career manager, number one fan & assistant.. bwahaha & since I only use Canon S5 (I don't need to buy any lens (for now)), he encourages & guides me on what to prioritize, kung laptop ba, DSLR o other accessories. At parang ako pa naging teacher nya when it comes to photograhy & using Photoshop.

*Sigh* oh I would love it kung sya din maging involved sa photography..

buy na a DSLR.. promise.. that will lure him.. ganun ngyari sakin.. after a year of bugging him about photog and photoshop, i bought my DSLR.. then after a month of using it (siya mas madalas gumagamit), sabi niya gusto na din daw niya.. ayun, he bought his own na last month..  ;)
