I tried using Iphoto movie to show all the images of Ian and give it to the parents. Problem: malabo pag play sa TV monitor. Whats the best way to show his images that can be played on a Dvd or Cd players. Not my field kasi ? Thanks. John

sir john... some VCD/DVD players will play a data CD/DVD with JPEG format photos burned in them... if you burn photos in JPEG format, most DVD/VCD players will read them

if you want to create a slideshow with music, you could use an NLE software like Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro. iPhoto and other simpler softwares have this feature also but Im not too familiar with them. Id be glad to help you make one if you like. for presentation purposes, this is the best and most "nakakaiyak" way to do it :)  We are neighbors lang naman sir john, i live near dayap street lang... I can bring my mac to your studio anytime! just let me know how I can help out :)

Canopus Imaginate

http://www.canopus.com/products/Imaginate/index.php

Imaginate is also good! this is what we used to use when we were still in the Canopus systems... the problem lang with it is pixelation on high resolution images... but nevertheless a great and SIMPLE software to use!

Sir John Thanks for Coming sa Graduation namin Kahapon.

Thank you also for inspiring us. I saw how you work and believe ako sa pagiging productive mo sir, and how you try to share what you can to almost all of the people that come into your world.

Again Thank you very Much. Ako din po yung nag pa critique sayo dati sa blog ko. http://Http://HumpreyCogay.BlogSpot.Com last December and you told me na dapat me human interest yung shots ko dun sa simbahan. Nagawa ko po yung ibang suggestions mo and nakita ko yung effect... Yun na din yung naging inspiration ko to enroll sa FPPF. And dahil dun. although sa Newbie Contest i Won twice over 1 WeekEnd.

Thank you so much Sir......

Re: Ian's world ...A different story
« Reply #4370 on: April 14, 2008, 08:27:40 PM »
I just read this article a few minutes ago and I would like to post this article in this thread.

THIS IS IN REACTION TO THE article titled "Ian's world: Austistic boy sees beauty through his point and shoot camera (INQUIRER, 4/6/08) This article is particularly moving to me, as I am a mother of a special child. my child is blind: everywhere we go people gawk. Most of them are friendly, a few are not so polite. I believe the Inquirer's introduction of Ian and his special talent brings the world closer to Ian and other children with disabilities. Kudos to John Chua, who has made this possible, and to the Inquirer, which provided the link. One thing of particular interest: blind people are hard to photograph. Most of them droop their head. Will any photographer take the challenge to photograph our children? We belong to a support group of parents with visually impaired children.

Fellow Piphos

I would like to take this challenge to reach out to this children. I am going to email her tonight and try to workout something with their children spending time at Manila Zoo. Years ago, when Kathy started the Zoo Volunteer program at Manila Zoo. I remember her bringing a class of blind students from Philippine School for the Deaf and Blind. Dr. Bernardo help us. We had Cockatoos, birds, rabbits, pigs and even the elephant (I havent been introduced properly to Mali that time) The students had a grand time. I know we can do it again.

We shall do this before the week is over. Are you with us... MagicEye

Ps. try to get in touch with her too.

May I request that you email her our intention to help out. and to other pipho members who would like to help make a difference with these children. I have not received any response from her yet. But if 10 0f us maybe 20 of us could email her and would volunteer to take the best photo of their children. I am sure she would feel its for real. We can make an instant Eb whenever they want it. This weekend, no problem. I think I can pull some resources to make this happen at the Zoo. Kathy is excited to help out. Lets surprise her. Sent an email to her RIGHT NOW. MagicEye.
