Anawangin is very safe....there are caretakers there. Boat ride is around P300/person. You can park your car in Pundakit, the resorts there have parking spaces...you just have to pay for overnight parking. rgds.

hi alford, great set. i really love your photos since our old days at DPC :)

Me and some friends were supposed to go to the Hot Air Balloon Festival last Saturday, then trek later to Mt Pinatubo and spend the weekend there. However, we had to cancel both trips since 1) we were not able to get access pass into the balloon airfield, and 2) there is a new rqmt that only a group of 30 or more persons are allowed to spend overnight at the crater (???).

So we decided to go to Anawangin Cove in Zambales instead. It was a wonderful experience...the only regret was that we were not able to go to nearby Capones Island due to rough seas.

So here are the photos. C&Cs are welcome.

May contact numbers ba ng locals dun? How far will the 300pesos/person boat ride take me? For 1 whole day na yun.. back and forth? Are there any group price for the boat ride? Say we are 5 in the group?

@ Stiffened: The P300 boat ride is already 2-way (will bring you to the island and will fetch you back, even during the next day). Group price? Around P2500-P3000 I think for a bigger boat that can carry 10 people. Contact Vic, our boatman: 0928 453 7121

@ Jekko, Fidgi, Masterjecht: Tks for looking! The colors are really fantastic during sunrise/sunset.

@ Jas: tks! The place is around 3-4 hrs drive from manila, plus 45 min boatride.
