Downtown Manila The walk around Photo Op
«
on:
February 03, 2008, 02:07:22 PM »
The photo op was initiated by Mr. Edison Sia. He is the IT Country program Manager of Pilipinas Shell Petroleum corp. We meet up at Binondo church at Quintin Paredes Rd.
I invited Regie to tag along with me not knowing that Mr. Wildever is also there.
Wildever is invited by The very famous, The very beautiful point and shoot Lady Master Michelle Morelos.
Then I discovered that Wildever wanted to test shoot his newly acquired Telephoto Nikor VR lens
(not sure with the lens name Canon ako e
)
So we are seven shooters, 3 Shell Bosses, Michelle, Tekgik,Wildever and Me. I call us The Lucky 6 Shooters and a Girl.
BTW don't expect much coz we eat most of the time. Food were great! Photo not sure....
Anyway here are some of it.

Larry, nice ambient low-light shots. The 3rd and last photo has lots of emotion, almost begging for help.
That area has a lot of interesting subjects. Even CCP had a OTS photo contest there last year.

San na si Michelle, Ed, Gio & Don?
I enjoyed this walking photo-op-loop great food and photo ops and cool company of course. Thanks to Ed who really knows the best places at may history commentaries pa.
Our meeting place and first op.
Binondo Church. I have been to this church several times already but this time i had the chance to go further near the altar and up to the balcony. I didnt realize that it has some really nice fresco painting on its ceiling.
Its a different view at the top specially if you have ultra wide. The array of the chairs and overwhelming paintings can keep you entertained for a while. With this type of shooting I only shoot with Av or Aperture Priority with evaluative metering its easier to shoot this way since you can concentrate more on the surroundings and immediate opportunities it may give you. Just compensate at around 1/3 to 2/3 stops to bring up some brightness of the overall scene.

I didnt know na meron ganito sa manila street tour walker at P888 per head you got to see the best palces of Manila + eating op of course. He is equipped with microphone and loud speakers, interesting guy. Our group actually bumped their tour twice.

P888 x 22 pax x 2 sessions per day. You do the math! Wow, I'll change career for that!
