I had an opportunity to practice my macro shots @ NAPAW. I hope the results will justify my absence from work. Hahaha! Ü
BTW, don't mind the annoying smudge, my sensor needs cleaning, pwedeng watermark na rin, palusot.

a hopper, as usual

all images are uncropped, just resized to 640pixels.  :)

Thanks! Yes, I switch it with the sigma 28-200mm macro on latter shots, still on the DIY xtubes, to avoid getting too close, it scampers those little insects away.  I set the flash at 1/16 mounted on the hotshoe, no brackets yet. i'm planning to get ext tubes and DIY brackets real soon.  :D ;D :D

Thanks! Pero let me tell you one thing, the 2.5" is too narrowly magnifying and leaves no room for other details, it takes a lot of time to get used to, make a 2" tube na lang...  ;)

i'll be doing a fulltime macro and soon'll be getting a kenko extension tubes, you can have mine in exchange for caps na lang.  :)

@edsel, thank you very much my lord... I'm loving every bit of them since I can shoot alone, though people stare at me, finding it weird that i'm crouching near a leaf with my lens so close to it. hahaha!
Can I ask a favor from you, is there a link in the web to tell me what kind of insect am I shooting at?

@artdisciple, thank you very much. I will post more...

Alas, this will be my last batch of shooting macros using my DIY-xtubes, I finally got a KET today and 2 sets at that too!!!  :D ;D :D

Ayus Karl. What aperture did you use in these shots? Medyo shallow pa ang DOF.
Minsan shoot tayo QC circle area. ;)

@gpx4, i vary my aperture from 9-13, i had an overhead flash w/c gives off bad high lighting. i'd prefer parks & wildlife, mas konting tao, Php lang naman ang entrance or we can do both napaw and circle!  ;)

@masterjecht, sige we'll let you know, but macro photography requires you to kneel down on the ground or sometimes get too extreme and lay down on it. i don't think coming home to new born baby would be hygienic. double check on the missus first.  ;D

@korevo, tara at gamitin natin yan collectors item na 40d mo. hehehe... ;)
