Chedeng - scenes on the streets
« on: August 08, 2007, 11:38:49 PM »

Due to the heavy outpour this morning, my daughter asked me to take her to school. I decided to take my camera as well and see if I can snap a few pictures along the way. I was in my van when I took the following pictures in Las Pinas.

Inside flooded BF Resort:

Along Zapote-Alabang Road:

You've got to salute these hardworking traffic aides.

Swerving to avoid a flooded portion of the street.

Some drivers should be more considerate especially of people in the sidewalks.

Barefoot kids using a defective umbrella:

I realized there are a lot of photo opportunities even during bad weather. Well maybe I can take a few more snaps in the following days.

I don't advise taking pictures while driving; it's quite dangerous. I managed to take these because my car was stationary or was moving slowly but had my hazard lights on.

kewl shots! Cool

I feel sorry for the pedestrians everytime they get splashed on, they try everything to cover themselves with an umbrella, then a car comes by splatters muddy, dirty, smelly water on them...  Sad

I was out kasi may shoot dapat ako, pero sobrang trapik, 4 hours na ko sa bus di pa rin ako nakakalabas ng Cavite.  Here's what I captured:

Inside the bus

Sa ibabaw ng overpass (SM Bacoor)

Tropang "Tulay"

South bound traffic (going to Imus, Dasma, Silang, Tagaytay)

North bound traffic (going to Manila)

I drove this morning (past 5am) and it's flooded everywhere.  There's this one time that I needed to overtake a tricycle with a lady passenger behind the driver and when I saw that the road is clear (I mean no flood water), I went ahead.  Suddenly, a BIG splash covered everything in my sight!  Good thing I'm no longer parallel with the tricycle.  I can imagine the couple talking about what could have happened to them.  Grin
