The Big Bear Hug Project

I would like to introduce to you Mr. Ian Manubay Salaysay, aka The Walking Bear.

Perhaps you have heard of him or have seen him on the news. His advocacy is to walk Across the Philippines from Aparri to General Santos to create awareness and at the same time collect funds for the kids at National Children's Hospital, suffering from leukemia and cancer.

In his own words: "...I’m just a simple guy who would like to create an awareness that we need to focus more on the medical condition of this children in a government hospital rather than looking on anti-selfie bill, billy got arrested, or any other things."

You can read the rest of his blog HERE .

So what is The Big Bear Hug Project?

Again, to quote Sir Ian "Family and Friends...in connection with our Journey in raising funds for the indigent kids with cancer, We are asking for your support by giving TEDDY BEARS to those kids at the National Children's Hospital QC..THE BIG BEAR HUG PROJECT is a non-profit event that will let the kids feel that someone cares for them...You may write your name along with a short message for the kids."

We can either donate a teddy bear directly at the Social Services Department of National Children's Hospital, along E. Rodriguez Avenue, Quezon City, almost across Trinity College and look for Ma'am Remy or you can drop it off at where I work, 7-Eleven Store right beside GMA7 in Timog Avenue, Quezon City.

If any of you co-pipho knows where to buy cheap but good quality teddy bears, I would appreciate the heads up via private message. So far, Bear Huggs is giving a discount from P187 to P175 bag not included, but not a problem. I would be going to Blue Magic tomorrow and check their prices as well as quality.

I would appreciate if you guys could help me with Sir Ian's advocacy and his Teddy Bear project for the kids this Christmas.

Many, many thanks in advance.
