Nikon 18-200 VR creeping issues.... :)
« on: February 01, 2007, 10:52:05 AM »
To those who own one, does yours creep?

I think before we go further, lets define creep first from this lens Point Of View, Base on my readings in diff websites, the creeping on this lens means when you point the lens downwards it creeps( extends) downward and when pointed upwards (to the ceiling) it creeps(retracts) downward? Is this what creeps means for this lens?

Whats your take on this??

Annoying....but....normal occurence for this lens.  But a small price to pay for the convenience this lens brings IMHO.

That's my point, in almost all people who have this, they said their lens creep.

but mine doesn't even at any focal point, does that mean mine has problem coz it doesn't creep?? ;D

Glad to have one that does not creep at all....

Yep glad to hear... but again... yours is the exception rather than the rule.

You can probably update us after a couple of months of use and we'll see.

the creeping in mine happens between 50 - 135mm.

carrying it around with the lens at 18mm is fine naman :) nasanay na rin ako siguro :)
