Manila by Iris (My 14-year old sister)
« on: February 18, 2014, 07:59:57 AM »
My sister asked me to teach her how to post-process her photos and help her have an initial selection for their upcoming exhibit of their photography club in school which will be held before February ends or by 1st week of March. The theme of their photography club exhibit is Manila/Color. She is still in the shooting phase since their club adviser told them to have photos of Manila at night.

I was quickly going through her photos and these photos really stood out for me, but only one or two photos (either the girl riding a bike or the guwardiya sibil or both) posted here will be part of the exhibit since she thinks most here are not “exhibit-worthy”. I cannot argue with her vision, but I strongly think these photos should be seen by other people. Thus, with her permission to upload, here they are. One proud kuya here.

My sister is turning 15 this July.

and this is her, shot by me

Impressive! She has quite the eye for photography.

Btw, I think one of the photos is upside down.

i am no expert but in my opinion she has great eye on composition and definitely has potential.

would love to see the "guardiya sibil" shot processed in mono to have that "old" effect  ;)

I'll tell her to post-process it in B&W. I'll teach her how to shoot landscapes soon. :))
