As a son of Leyte I thank PiPho and everyone who will be sending food, water and any and all help to my province-mates.

To make this post somewhat photo-oriented here is photos from about 30 hours ago. Most of the photos by Ryan Monterola is of Tacloban City.

A MANNY LIBRODO OPEN-SHOOT/PHOTOWALK FOR A CAUSE.

Proceeds of the shoot/photowalk will go to the survivors of Super-typhoon Yolanda (international codename Haiyan) through the Provincial Government of Iloilo (c/o the Provincial Administrator Dr. Raul Banias).

For a minimum of 1,500 pesos per participant, the total amount gathered from this event will help survivors rebuild their homes, rebuild their lives after the destruction wrought by super-typhoon Yolanda.

Pledges and donations (any amount) are also most welcome. Goods especially food items will also do.

Please visit link for info.

My uncle Gerry lives in Tacloban, Philippines and survived Category 5 Supertyphoon Yolanda/Haiyan. He chose to stay to clean up and rebuild.

These photos were taken by him early today, Tuesday, November 19, 2013.

All your help is appreciated. The Visayas thanks you.

Follow or add him on Facebook (he accepts almost everyone) to have a 1st hand account on day to day recovery of our city.
