Sony’s Full Exposure event at the Fairmont Hotel last Feb 20, 2013, showered guest with surprises, food, drink and lots of prizes. The Biggest Prize was the Phototrip to Japan which was announced a few weeks after. I and Christian Sangoyo were the winners for the trip.

Not only do we get a fully expense paid trip to Tokyo, get to see the Sakuras and buy wasabi flavored KitKat …. We got a chance to be with the Sony Ambassadors and top people in media.

Ofcourse we were taken cared of the people from SONY. Sony Japan – Yuji Toyozumi, Minami Togo and other people from Team Japan.

Sony Team Philippines - Ina Villanueva, Marj David, Jv Ruanto, Erica dela Cruz and Rommel Hernandez.

Thank you Sony for making our dreams come true!

Our first night in Tokyo, Sony arranged a special treat for us. Sakurajaya, a traditional Japanese restaurant located in the heart of the city, guests are attended by geisha and enjoy traditional entertainment such as shamisen (three-stringed musical instrument) and nihon buyo (classical Japanese dance). The dance and music did not actually happen, probably because we used the time to shoot. Luckily I was able to get some "portraits" of the Geishas, with everyone in the room trying to shoot. But the best part ofcourse was yet to come ..... dinner!

Lets Eat! The food was fantastic! Best version of tempura I have ever tasted. Ofcourse the service was no less than perfect. Could you ask for more when there is a Geisha right beside you at your service?

On the way back to the hotel, our group chanced upon this 17th century shrine nestled amidst Tokyo's towering skyscrapers. It was my first time to try out Sony's 10-18mm for the NEX5N and I'm loving the results (everything's handheld btw)!
