mukang maraming mag-a-out ng mga D700 nila :)

Hindi naman siguro kasi D700 has twice the shutter speed of D600.

we'll see... :)

Ayan na mga boys, $2100 mga PHP 90k:
http://www.dpreview.com/previews/nikon-d600/

Regarding AF eto nasa article. Me motor siya pero me problema sa non-AI lenses (for those who still have these):

Owners of lower-end DSLRs, or compact camera upgraders probably won't even notice, but we suspect that a lot of Nikon users will be pleased to see that the D600 a body-integral AF motor. This is a feature of Nikon's high-end DSLRs, and allows the D600 to be paired with older, non-AF-S lenses and still achieve AF. If manual focus is your priority, you can program the D600 to recognise up to nine 'non-CPU' manual focus lenses, so if you've got a large collection of older optics, you don't need to turn to Ebay just yet. The only limitation is that the very oldest, non-Ai models are off the table. They'll jam if you try to use them on the D600 (but will mount just fine on lower-end models in the D3XXX and D5XXX class, albeit without aperture indexing). Yes - Nikon's lens compatibility is complicated...
If you like to convert those non ai lens to ai mount, try checking this site. They have stocks of ai kits for 20 USD:

http://kohscamera.com/

OT yan....pero the d600 was officially announced. Someone started a thread already....

ang d7000 nga 1/8000 ang shutter e... wonder why ginawa nilang 1/4000 lang dito sa d600...

price is still on the expensive side.. but looking at the sample images, ganda details na nilalabas nung camera...
this is the last time i'll fall in love

I will watch the d600 lang muna in case my issues and for the prices to drop. Magmuni muni muna ako between now and the next 6 months. Buy an FX like this or shift to Fuji....

To protect the d800/E.

So, DX users can see the D600 as a D800-lite.  Save US$900, get a lighter body, lose the ability to change aperture in video mode.

D800, D4, and even D700 users can see the D600 as a cheaper, lighter 2nd body.

I'm really curious how the D700 users would view the D600 as a replacement.
  • US$900 difference between the D600 and D800 can be a rather nice Nikkor (28mm f/1.8G at US$700, almost a 16-35mm f/4VR, etc.)
  • D700 users gain video switching to a D600.
  • D700 users gain 2nd highest resolution in FX bodies, second only to D800.  One way to look at this is the added resolution gives D800 users a US$500 savings on a teleconverter.   ;D
  • D700 users gain a smaller, lighter body--great for travelers.  Last time I traveled, I left the big, heavy zooms in the hotel room and tried to go 20-50-85 primes only on several days.
  • D700 users lose single button AF-S / AF-C setting
  • D700 lose 0.5 fps switching to the D600.
  • D700 users gain the wireless accessory the D600 has (extra $$$ though).
  • D700 users will need to replace their CFs to SDs.
The D600 uses the AF from the D7000 which is a reliable performer.

D600 sensor made by Sony?

just an OT observation. D7000 and D800 sensors are made by Sony, both have AF issues when they first came out..  ::) ::)

Yep but why buy an FX camera when you'll just use it in DX hahaha. Sayang lahat nung o so full frame goodness :)

Add mo pa yung new 2k RGB metering, New processor, bigger LCD for the D600 :)

Normal FL is always good very flexible na lens :)

Grabe mas magaan pa pala sa D7000 siya (760grams vs 780 grams). Malapit na magself canibalize to hahaha (FF in a DX body). Even Sony is starting to flex its muscles showing us that FF can be packed in a P&S like body. Only time will tell kelan yung Nikon/Canon version nung FF in a P&S body :)
