saw the eos m lenses. specifically the 22mm f/2 stm.
my question is: do we have information if the eos body (i have a 50D and am happy with it - delighted is the word, i think) be able to take the 22mm f/2 stm lens?

EF-M lens cannot be used on EF or EF-S body due to the flange focal distance difference of 18mm for EF-M mount and 44mm for EF/EF-S mount



That is why the mount adapter EF-EOS M adds 26mm distance and is required.



This is not a Canon-specific issue. All other brands with SLR and MILC systems have to contend with this as well.
