Just updated mine and WOW :o ang linis ng images compared to iso200! Pero di ko madetermine ang sharpness kasi parang the same lang.

Sir, question Lang about sa update. If first time Kung mag update mg firmware, can I skip the previous update and go straight Sa latest? Sorry Medyo noob Sa update of firmware
Thanks in advance

as far as I know, hindi mag-skip or you can't choose. yung Olympus Viewer yung magde-determine ng update path. don't quote me on that though. kung ganoon nga ang kaso, best to have a fast internet connection. it took me a while to get the 2.0 (galing 1.7) kala ko nga wala na nangyayari eh LOL

cadiok69 answered this question with the official page of olympus.  To quote the relevant part of the url:

For updating the camera to the latest version, you are required to update the camera twice.

If the current version is 1.0 or 1.1:
First, update the camera to version 1.3, and then update to the latest version.
If the current version is 1.2:
First, update the camera to version 1.4, and then update to the latest version.

pero kung after the update it says sa camera mo na firmware 2.0 ka na, no need to repeat the process 2x right?
thank in advance :)
Nope no need. Kapag kinabit mo kasi camera mo sa pc the updater will check the camera and all the attached devices to it including the lens. Ididisplay niya kung me update available or kung wala eto makikita mo "-". Tapos yung pagupgrade one (chosen) item at a time so uulitin mo lang until "-" so pwede camera muna tapos uulitin mo for lens etc. Nagupdate pa ata ako din kagabi 2 of my lenses including yung kit lens kasi version 1.2 na ata so inupdate ko na din :) Wash and repeat as necessary.

Regarding the focus peaking workaround using art filters I sugest ibackup mo muna yung current setting mo to another set tapos put the art filter set in another set para mas madali ibalik yung settings mo to original. Gets ba hehehe? :) Step #2 kasi basically saves your current setting to a "myset". Ako kasi yung current setting ko nilagay ko sa myset1 tapos yung me artfilter sa myset2 ko nilagay :) If I were to revise the instruction eto yung steps (hope it will help):
Saving your current settings:
1. Setup your camera to your preferred setting (enable super control panel if you haven't done so. very useful option)
2. Menu->Custom Menu->Button/Dial (press right arrow)->Button Function (press right arrow)->Set Fn1 function to "Myset2"
3. Menu->Shooting Menu 1->Reset/Myset->Myset1 (press right arrow)->Choose Set then Ok

Focus peaking workaround (right after doing the steps above)
1. Menu->Shooting Menu 1->set Picture mode to Art Filter 11, set Type to II then Ok
2. I suggest setting your AF Mode to MF or S-AF+MF before proceeding with step 3
3. Menu->Shooting Menu 1->Reset/Myset->Myset2 (press right arrow)->Choose Set then Ok
4. Go back to your original saved settings by Menu->Shooting Menu 1->Reset/Myset->Myset1 then press Ok->Choose Yes then Ok
5. Try it out. When you need to focus peak, just hold the Fn1 button and focus. Release to return to normal mode, then shoot (best used in MF AF mode).

ayos. salamat ulit! :)

Two years ang warranty at 6 months to pay with your credit card,

Just ask if they have stocks :) But if you can wait it out a bit you can try buying the new body cap lens by Olympus it has its limitations in aperture but it has AF IIRC and cost about a third of the samyang 7.5mm FE
