Kenko 2.0x DG Teleplus teleconverter
« on: March 31, 2009, 01:58:33 PM »
Question: dumodoble ba talaga pinakamalaking aperture na pwede mong magamit when using this teleconverter? Bakit nung tnry ko sa Tokina 11-16 f2.8 eh nagagamit ko pa din yung 2.8 to less than 5.6 na aperture?

sa exif data though yung focal length na nakaregister eh yung ginamit mo na focal length sa lens at di yung actual na 2x ng value na yun. example, you use 16mm focal length while nakalagay yung teleconverter, sa exif data eh 16mm sinasabi na ginamit mo pero yung picture was really taken at 32mm focal length :)

^ thanks!

Any others who use teleconverters share their experiences? thanks! :)

As far as I know, teleconverters are designed to work with teles and zoom. Your Tokina is an UWA.

Tanong ko lang, why do you need a 35mm reach (11mm x 2x x 1.6 crop)?

I think that teleconverter wont report the correct aperture reading. If you tried a Nikon, you wont be able to mount it. Pakicorrect na lang po kung mali.

Your exif will register the aperture that was used during the shot. Since you are using 2.8 lens then it will register 2.8 and didn't multiply it by 2. But, it is not really 2.8 result, it's 5.6.  Exif can not register the real aperture when you are using a third party teleconverters.  Try using Nikkor T2x and you'll see what I mean.
do whatever you wanted to do and have no regrets on it...

^ ohhh i see! thanks! :) but what if you used aperture mode and set the aperture to 5.6, what is the actual aperture being used while using a third-party teleconverter? is it 11.2 then? thanks! :)
