the best mode depends on the situation and what mode you feel comfortable in. ;D

hahahahaha.thats a good one ;D ;D ;D the reason i asked is i see some people with slr or dslr pero naka auto mode naman. if you join a contest ba dapat naka set sa manual mode when you take pics? and is it a taboo when you set it on auto or P (PRO)  ;D ;D ;D? accepted ba yun ganun?

Not really, di naman ichecheck ng judges ang setting ng cam mo when they look at the pics.  ;D

Its just that in M (manual) you have more room to discover your creative side.

Believe it or not maramin masters dyan na hanggang ngayon gumagamit pa ng P hanggang ngayon. ;)

newbie here... may point and choot na ko na casio z40... planning to puchase a more prosumer model...

anu mas ok S3IS, A640, G6

habol ko kasi yung swivel lcd, and option to attach a more powerful flash (hotshoe or wireless), and fast shot to shot speed.

is there any affordable nikon model that has this? parang maganda kasi colors sa nikon cams compared to canon (just my opinion)

so far parang S3is ang ok.. any inputs with this?

hello mga masters, here's a newbie question...

the aperture markings on most zoom lenses , say f3.5-5.6 for example, what does 3.5-5.6 signifies? Is this some sort of a DOF or sharpness limitations? With my canon kit 18-55mm f3.5-5.6, I could shoot sharp and clear photos as high as f11.

your kit lens says you can have a max aperture of f3.5 on wide end, you can't have a larger openning than that.
