Camera for Family Occasions
« on: July 31, 2017, 03:32:42 PM »
Hi,  I am trying to look for a camera that is easy to use, easy to carry around especially for trips or outings.  I wanted to use it for family occasions, to take pictures of my kids.  Is there anything you can suggest that can shoot pretty decent videos, and SLR quality pictures, but less the hassles of setting up for every pic to take?   Thank you for your help.

There are plenty of that in the market already like the a6000, a6300, and a6500. There is the Fuji X series like the X-t20 and XT2. Then the micro4/3 like the Gx85,g85, etc. The choices are endless.

you would want a mirrorless.

i have a canon 5dmk3 but for small gatherings wherein the 5dmk3 is overkill, i borrow the wife's mirrorless canon eos m or use my backup canon 100d with 24mm pancake which is a very small and light setup.

if you have a decent handphone with a decent camera,i would suggest just buying a motorized smartphone gimbal to take stabilized video shots..

some cheap smartphones like the xiaomi mi max/redmi note 3 even have slow motion camera which are far better than most entry level dslr when it comes to video.. and you always have the phone with you all the time..

What moodles said. Matipid pa! :)

for travel imagine, a mobile phone, a gimbal and a power bank :)

But if you really want to splurge some money to a camera, some recommendations mentioned above are worthy to look up.
