gusto ko makita yung sample ng motion correction sa pixel shift nila :)

kung di ka naman masyadong action shooter pwedeng pwede ito. sana lang maglabas pa sila ng UWA na may filter thread. i wonder kung gawang cebu rin ito hehe

I want to know how good the astrotracking features are...gano katagal at gaano ka synchronize pag mag landscape astrophotography ka.

Pentax just get in further with some of their cameras. Walang yatang gumagamit masyado sa mga Pentax users dito.

Pagwala kang Pentax bili ka na lang nito:

http://www.vixenoptics.com/Vixen-Polarie-Star-Tracker-Mount-with-Tripod-p/35517.htm

O kaya nito:
http://astrotrac.com/

How good the Pentax built in against those...I don't know.

Sample Bry ...from K-3 II:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpWidlWHH10

looks good! pero most likely if you use that feature, limited ang shutter speed mo to a min perhaps in long exposure as the sensor shift can only do about a few millimeters.

what im interested to know is how their motion correction is doing when using the pixel shift. the EM5 mark 2 has that problem where anything that moves when you do pixel shifting will be literally cut sa final image. also if the final image is in DNG or RAW and not just JPEG then that would be huge!

antayin naten ang review ni idol Rick sa CP+ hehe!

Yan ang limit ng pixel shifting kaya limited yong application nya sa EM5 2. Di ko alam kung effective yong motion correction ng K-1 as you pointed out. Tapos 36 MP for multishot...gapang computer mo nyan o baka matagal magrecord sa camera. Those are possible trade offs.
I am a gear head but I really miss the days when shooting was simple. Load a film in a camera that operates without batteries. Study your shot very well, take a shot or 2 then that's it. You will live another day...it takes days or weeks before consuming the 24 shot rolls...ha ha ha OT na. Back to the K1 and awaiting for Ricky's field report.

Glenn will be there too. I hope he will "silip" the Pentax/Ricoh show room.

Pentax user here,

I think this product is a catch up product ng Pentax para sa FF format for existing Pentax users, it's features is not groundbreaking (Pentax has all their cameras with IBIS, WR, handling and backward compatible sa mga lente)  but go side by side against D8xx, DF but with D750 size and price. And we all know that MF format is Pentax professional camera.

Good contender para sa magsisimula sa FF system na hindi hindi pa heavily invested in a lens system

Antayin natin feedback ni Sir Rico,  :)

yes the features are not groundbreaking.. if you compare it to a full frame mirrorless system like sony's 2nd generation A7 cameras.. however, the price is very competitive if you start comparing it to full frame dslr options from both canon and nikon within the same price range.. just take a look at pentax apsc body and compare it to apsc dslr bodies from both canon and nikon and pentax still win both in price and feature. Af and video features might be the only thing that the pentax body would loose out.

i still have a few very old k-mount as well as m42 mount lenses since i own a Pentax k7 (and still ocassionally use which is still working till this day), however i hardly touch the camera after switching to a mirrorless system as the live view and focus peaking helps alot when i use old manual adapted lenses.

i will probably consider buying this in a year or two..

Read the post from sir Rico pogi. ;)

The camera hump was inspired by the old 6x7's medium format.

Ugly might be too subjective, Pentax objective is always trying NOT to be Nikon or Canon by design most of its cameras bodies are not "soaplike" (rounded shoulders) just like the two Giants. They are somehow look weird and wonderful, (But I agree that the K-01 and K-S1 are way overboard a.k.a FUGLY) :o

I am not a fanboy, I just want to thank sir Rico for covering the CP+ for us, tanong lang po, is the 1-KG camera heavy in the hands? Did you try the handheld pixel shift?
