Reminding everyone that the primary requirements are
1. to upload photos of the item for sale. Those images are hosted here and there is a limit of 200kb per image. One photo should clearly show the Serial number of the item if applicable (lenses, camera bodies, etc). Max of 3 photos per listing. Uploaded photos are still required even if there are already embedded images via the item description. It's better if you upload the images here instead of opting for other websites.

2. complete the required fields on the listing form (warranty, item age, serial number, price, contact number, etc)

3. people with below 50 post count should post on the newbies section.

the rest of the guidelines can be seen here
http://www.pinoyphotography.org/forum/index.php?board=19.0

we know that there is a bug in the current system wherein after you encountered an error while posting it still pushes through and your listing gets added to the queue of items for approval so expect a PM from moderators who are checking saying that your listing has been denied (for obvious reasons) :)

you can also extend your listing duration, just PM the moderators and we'll gladly help.

Changes:

  • Removed approval system on all categories except for "Newbies Marketplace". We'll remove listing if it doesn't comply with the guidelines
  • Initial listing (posting) duration is now 30 days on all categories
  • Upgrade listing for 7 days option on all categories except "Newbies Marketplace"
  • Marie Biscuits and Nido Kid (50 below post group) can only post on the "Newbies Marketplace". You'll get an error if you post on the wrong category

Hi mods. I first tried to post in our new classifieds section, and didnt notice that photo should be 200kb or less. And when I tried to upload an image that's 500kb big, an error message showed up and then I wasnt redirected back to the form where I should be making the post. So with this, I thought that the post that I tried didnt make it through. But upon checking the website now, I found out that the listing made it but without a photo (and thus the warning from our mods). So maybe, we could make the system better by either letting the user go back to the entry form if an error occurs. Or, make it in such a way that the user will be brought to his/her successful listing BUT with the warning that he/she must have a photo with the right size. And then with the edit listing option. :)

Thank you for your feedback.

Yes, we are aware of a system bug wherein when you encounter an error while posting, the listing still pushes through. Tekgik is already working with the developers to iron out the kinks on our Classifieds :)

Hi po.

For deleting listings po ba icliclick lang yung link/button na delete listing. I keep deleting my listing pero pag balik ko po ulit sa My Listings ko na dun pa rin siya. Although di na po nagpapakita yung item sa thread. I'm still receiving inquiries about the item if sold na or not. So I guess nakikita pa rin nila yung listing ko somehow. :(

hi mods,

rei_leid is referring po each one's "My Listings" page/list.. when under Pinoy Photography - Philippines Online Photography Community » Classifieds you can see the list of categories (canon items, nikon, etc) then on the upper right portion, you have several tabs (Add listing, Search, Unviewed, MyBids, MyListings, MyCredits).. then when you click MyListings, you can still see you previously posted items even if you have deleted them.

I still have my old assorted filters for sale listed in MyListings, but this is already deleted from the classifieds >> accessories list. :)

oo nga pala, and then when you click "more information" it will bring you to a new page telling you that the listing has already expired. a little bit of a hassle on the part of the would be buyer, click ka ng click tapos mauuwi lang pala sa wala hehehe...

I think hindi naman masyadong issue itong bug ng MyListings. Kasi people cant see your deleted FS listing naman sa Classifieds.

Pero for the sake of info, Im sharing this.. :)

I deleted the orig listing under Classifieds when I was able to sell it, and so the listing was gone. So, I checked out MyListings as shared by Rei_leid...

I saw and then click on my (old) "Used Filters" listing, then it brought me to (supposedly) a copy of my original listing under Classifieds >> Accessories. Then after clicking it, there was this option of Delete listing. So i tried it. After clicking delete, I went back to MyListings.. and poof! it was NOT gone.

Then again, it can only harm those of us who are OC. But no harm to the community, I think, coz others cant see your deleted listings under Classifieds. :)

Hi Jigs,

Apologies for that. I myself admits na maraming bugs yung Classifieds, been really thinking of going back. The problem with the forum software is that thats the only plug-in we can use.

But honestly I think we have solved the post padding issues, we are thinking of ways to come up na we can all meet in the middle, na we can gain both.

The poll will end this month and this will greatly influence us whether or not to go back.

Thanks for the inputs
