Somebody gave me a tempting offer...

Option 1 > 7DM2 + Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 Art lens

Option 2 > 6D + Sigma 35mm f/1.4

... to swap with my Nikon D7100.  Well, i know the D7100 is sharper and has better dynamic range but i'm not a landscape photographer, 75% of my images captured are people shots (weddings, portraiture, fashion and party gigs) and while a nice dynamic range is nice to have, for me, a nice skin tone rendering matters.  And that's a nice thing to have from the get go as I'm not into heavy post-processing.

Swap with additional cash but at a price that's really considered a steal when taking the current selling price to mind and it's a CMP unit with 3-year warranty. :)

something for the 7D Mark II owners and prospective owners:
http://www.clarkvision.com/reviews/evaluation-canon-7dii/

Quote
The pattern (banding) noise of the 7D Mark II sets new lows for Canon (that is good), lower than the Canon 6D, which is now second best in this regard. With low read noise, the 7D Mark II camera is superb for low light work.

The reason bakit di nilagyan ng touch articulating screen, at wifi dahil gusto nila mapatibay yung body tulad nung mark1. Kung napanood nyo lang kung pano binugbog ni kai ng digitalrev ang 7d sa youtube, grabe super tibay talaga. Ang bad news lang di pa rin ako makabili kahit mark1 lang.hahaha

Whatever the reason is, only Canon knows but putting those in the 7D II , I don't think it will make it fragile. Maybe those features are reserved for the Canon 5D Mk 1V. On the second thought even without those bells and whistles it does not make it a lesser class of a camera. The end users rave for it so it is the most important. I will be happy to own even the 7D Mk I if I am a Canon user like you.

i guess they are reserving it for future cameras. Olympus has managed to do it in their EM1 and they are known to have one of the toughest cameras around. These manufacturers will always find a way always to incorporate technology, its just in the timing.

medyo bumaba na ng konti presyo ng 7dmkii. early this year, canvass ko nasa P84k. now, i see secondhand/gray units being sold at around P60k - which makes it very appealing to people like me who are looking to get one.

Barn Swallow (Hirundo rustica) by alabang, on Flickr

The barn swallow (Hirundo rustica) is the most widespread species of swallow in the world. It is a distinctive passerine bird with blue upperparts, a long, deeply forked tail and curved, pointed wings. It is found in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. In Anglophone Europe it is just called the swallow; in Northern Europe it is the only common species called a "swallow" rather than a "martin".

There are six subspecies of barn swallow, which breed across the Northern Hemisphere. Four are strongly migratory, and their wintering grounds cover much of the Southern Hemisphere as far south as central Argentina, the Cape Province of South Africa, and northern Australia.[2] Its huge range means that the barn swallow is not endangered, although there may be local population declines due to specific threats.

The barn swallow is a bird of open country which normally uses man-made structures to breed and consequently has spread with human expansion. It builds a cup nest from mud pellets in barns or similar structures and feeds on insects caught in flight.[4] This species lives in close association with humans, and its insect-eating habits mean that it is tolerated by man; this acceptance was reinforced in the past by superstitions regarding the bird and its nest. There are frequent cultural references to the barn swallow in literary and religious works due to both its living in close proximity to humans and its annual migration.[5] The barn swallow is the national bird of Austria and Estonia.

black-naped oriole (Oriolus chinensis) by alabang, on Flickr

The black-naped oriole (Oriolus chinensis) is a bird of the oriole family and is found in many parts of Asia. There are several distinctive populations within wide distribution range of the species and in the past the slender-billed oriole (Oriolus tenuirostris) was included as a subspecies. Unlike the golden oriole which only has a short and narrow eye-stripe, the black-naped oriole has the stripe broadening and joining at the back of the neck. Males and females are very similar although the wing lining of the female is more greenish. The bill is pink and is stouter than in the golden oriole.

LUCKY ACCIDENT

The more I'm using this camera, the more I'm loving it.  I call this shot a "lucky accident".  I was in a camera shop checking out some light modifiers.  I asked a friend, a videographer, to pose in front of the camera for a test shot, so I could check out what this thing could do.  The test shot turned out fine on the first try that no further testing was needed and I had no second thoughts about the item. "Kumbinsing!"  Haha!

kumusta naman ang viewfinder size ng 7dmk2? it is one of the things i appreciated when i got a FF camera. when i used a crop camera again, nanibago ako sa viewfinder size kasi ang liit (6d vs 50d).

In addition, it has a 100% viewfinder coverage but if you're shooting with fast lenses, you might need to replace the OEM focusing screen with the E-Hs precision focusing screen to allow you to see the sharpness better at f/1.2 to f/2.8.  Not sure if it's available locally but it's $35 from B&H.

Kamusta mga users ng 7D2 dito? madami ba? Just asking as I plan on buying this body.

Base sa mga nababasa ko sa online eh madaling linisin ang noise nito compared sa dating 7D.
