85mm f1.8G kung gagamitin for portraits. Masyadong tight kung 85mm ang gagamitin for everyday use. 35mm f1.8G kung for everyday use naman.

35mm more used  for wide, group shots. 85mm for portrait, tele shots.

I agree with most the comments here. Both are good lenses. If you have the money eventually, try to pick up both and then try adding the 28mm f1.8 to complete a really nice three prime lens set.

I'd get both if I were you.  Nothing beats a fast prime for either street photography or for portraits.

85mm hands down....  ;D although ive yet to buy one for myself  :P
I shoot for myself only. I dont give no damn what others think about my works and never need nobody tell me how i should do my shots. Like, for real.

tried both as well, and both performed very well as expected. sharp, contrasty and good bokeh. pero syempre you cant get the same FOV so di dapat pinagpipilian yung dalawa unless gusto mo lang ng extrang lens ;D if everyday use lang din, 35 na or better yet... 28mm ;D
