Another Fortune Island Sunrise.
I was lucky enough to have got this image. I had to position my self on the jagged rocks, injuring my feet in the process. Finding a new vantage point was a bit difficult because it was a small island and the ruins was its most interesting part. I originally intended to practice my milky way shots, but the moon that time shone so bright. Nevertheless I settled for sunrise shots. This was around 6am and still the moonshine was still and quite dominant on the west side, giving it that dark blue hue, while the sun slowly rises filing the east side with its warm yellow glow.

Photograph corregidor in ir by pasti lopez iii on 500px

Corregidor in IR
Dug up and retouched this old IR photo. This was taken at Corregidor island, it was the last bastion of defense in the Philippines during the WWII, Filipino and American soldiers fought Japanese soldiers days and nights. If Corregidor goes down, the whole SE region will fall. Sadly, being outnumbered and outgunned, it finally was conquered. Many who come here I believe are families of war veterans. Finding pride in the heroic measure of both sides, trying to connect with their fallen loved one's past, this is a place of history, sorrow, pride and evidence that war will bring out the worst and best in man.
