Title: Share your camera shutter life ending experience..
Post by: white_knight0731 on May 31, 2010, 02:59:06 PM
Hello Piphols,

I would appreciate if you could share your experiences before your camera's shutter life has ended. Any signs of symptoms? I've read some from the net but I want to hear your personal experiences.

During my last shoot, there were times when I can't take a shot even though the shutter release button is fully pressed. On my viewfinder I can't really see the subject as if it's being blurred /darken out (or maybe i'm seeing the shutter itself?)

And I've noticed that my battery icon indicates that it is empty although it is fully charged. I have to reinsert the battery from the grip to come back to normal. Take note that the grip is fully connected to the camera (not loosen up)

I'm using Nikon D80 btw.

Regards,

Max

malamang battery mo may problema. the fact na nakikita mo pa yun subject ibig sabihin andyan pa yun mirror. its either out of focus sya or nadale ne battery mo
kakatakot nga yan. dalhin mo agad sa pagawaan ::)

Sir try using the camera without the grip. If the same thing happens, check the battery life detail. It (the battery) may be on its last legs.  BTW i'm using a d80 with more than 100k mileage and still counting. Strong.

thanks for your suggestion bro, checked the battery info after the shoot, ni hindi pa naubos yung isang battery 100% / 44%.

Do you have an updated firmware?

Since your battery is ok, it may be the grip's power terminal. Just to be sure, use the camera without the grip and see if the same thing happens. BTW I have read somewhere that when your shutter dies, you will get an "ERR" on the LCD.

@taptap, When your shutter dies, you can have it replaced. Don't worry. Just shoot.:)

try kong magshoot ng walang batt grip. thanks for the "ERR on the LCD" tip.

did anyone experienced issues with your camera before the shutter dies off?
