Hay, sayang I settled for T800-EX, di pala fit sa needs ko. Unless di talaga ako marunong gumamit. Laging gumagalaw yung camera pag napatilt. :(

Ako I'm currently eyeing this tripod:

Sirui T025 Carbon Fibre
max height: 1305mm
folded height: 300mm
weight: 600 grams (parang 4x na iphone 4 lang)
max load: 6 kg

very very light pero can carry a 6kg load grabe talaga.
Yey I just got mine and I'm loving it ;D Sobrang gaan at liit para ka lang me dalang maliit na payong :D But as a tripod ang stable niya plus its carbon fiber kaya matibay siya :D

Nagpabili lang sa SG, sa TKFoto Funan Digital Mall doon. Around SGD249 so around PHP8.7k. Ballhead siya tapos alam ko arca swiss type yung plate na ginagamit IIRC. The head according to the manual can carry 15kg daw its just that yung legs 6kg lang so 6kg yung max carrying capacity ng tripod :D

5K for Manfrotto is a long shot. Try Benro Aluminum Tripods. It will fit your budget.

better raise your budget to at least 10k.

why spend oodles of cash on a body and lens then skimp on a tripod. Kung bumigay yan sorry na lang.

treat tripods as you would with a high quality lens. You get what you pay for.

http://tayhua.com/product1.html

check nyo yun sa tayhua...ayos tong shop na ito

I think i mentioned it somewhere and sometime last year that if you chose your tripod well, minsan ka lang bibili ng tripod sa lifetime mo. My recommendation is always to get the best. Kung kapos pa budget, ipon muna. Make sure na matibay yang papatungan ng camera mo, mahal yan. Tripods break. You must be able send it to a service center and buy spare parts. You must also know how to take good care of it.

My first manfrotto tripod is still with me working hard for more than 2 years now. Hindi ko na sya pinapalitan. Dinadagdan ko na lang. Hard user ako. Travel, init, lamig, salt water. When a part breaks, puwede ipagawa sa island photo gamboa. They also have spare parts.

My 2 cents.

Cheers!

sabi daw sa link it's Specially Designed For Mirrorless Interchangeable-Lens Cameras?  Any idea how much the T-005 Tripod aluminum costs?  Thanks!

Yep kasi sobrang gaan nga as in parang yung payong na binebenta ng P50 sa MRT. Mga ganun lang siya kaliit at kabigat. Pero 6kg max capacity I think kahit professional body kaya nun kargahin :D The aluminum version weighs 200g more and only has 4kg max capacity. Its price is around SGD149 mga 100 less than the CF version IIRC.

Yep pati you can always put counter weight sa hook niya. Mga 5' 7" ako full extension niya is around sa baba ko which is good enough for me (kung hindi ako nagkakamali).

Binili ko siya kasi 1) sobrang gaan 2) very compact 3) good price for a CF tripod 4) CF siya 5) good enough max height 6) very good carrying capacity 6kg can carry a lot...lets do the math 700g lens (my heaviest) + 700g D7K + 500g flash that's just around 2kg me 4kg pang extra :D Kung pro body 1400g + 70-200 1400g = 2.8 kg madami ka pa din extra weight  ;D
