Canon Selphy CP800 Operation
alvinbam:
Hello mga sir, kakabili ko lang kse ng Canon Selphy CP800 para sa photobooth biz ko, tanong ko lang sa mga experienced na with this printer or any canon selphy kung paano ang first operation? sabi kse nung tao sa canon nung binili ko ay on ko muna ang printer before ko ilagay yung film kse daw mag rerewind, sabi naman sa manual put the film first before turning on the printer. pano po ba talaga? and isa pa pala mga sir pag hindi ba na consume lahat ng paper and ink ok lang ba na stock ko lang sa loob ng printer yung film or kailangan ilabas ko para magamit ko ulit for the next event??? please help... TIA!
pogitaz:
Just remember to eject the ink before turning it on. sayang din kasi ang isang print.

@alvinbam
@pogitaz
you mean kada turn on mo ng selphy 1 print masasayang? tama ba intindi ko? sorry ha.. hehe..
ThePhotosnap:
at fist bago mo i-open ung printer dapat walang ink and paper cassette. then after mo i-open ung printer ska mo lagay yung ink and paper cassette kasi iikot ung film sayang ang isang print mo. then kapag nasa event na tpos naubusan no need to turn off the printer para magpalit.

Sa akin di ko na pinapatay.
It's either I monitor the print count or I wait for the prompt to appear.
1. Pag na-monitor ko yung prints, I finish the last print/paper before changing the cartridge while the booth is in shoot.
Normally pagkasalpak ng ink magre-resume na, or just click "resume".
I think me "thermal protective function" yung printer. I have experienced na nag-"stall" yung printing ko nung continuous ako nag-print. Nung hinawakan ko yung printer mainit, so I have to cool it off muna. Then the operation went back to normal. That means it's a good idea to have a well ventilated space for the printer.
So to sum it all up:
1. Ensure ink is not inserted before switching on the printer. Once the system is up, then it's safe to insert the ink/cartridge.
2. It's a good practice to shut the printer before replacing the cartridge, but not necessary. Remember, time is important in our business, so downtime is not good.
3. Prevent the printer from overheating. Give ample time for the unit to rest. (Kaya maganda ring idea na mag-set ng proper time in-between printing. This is why the shoot time per session should be longer than the time it takes to print a photo for Selphy users, para me magandang time interval between printings. Lalo na sa mga gumagamit ng single printers [not spooled] like me, who is also budget constrained.)
HTH. ;)
