Anyone know why there seems to be a lot of funny limitations around the x10? e.g. you can't shoot for more than 8sec in full manual when in ISO 400 15sec in ISO 200 you can only get the full 30 seconds in ISO100 You also can't adjust the dynamic range if you are in ISO100 -seems like DR is limited to DR100 only.. etc...

For the long exposure shutter speed limitation I don't know why there's a limit. Maybe its to prevent blowing out highlights? Or preventing orbs? For the max shutter speed on certain aperture it has something to the limitation of the mechanical leaf shutter.

As for the Dynamic range, fuji increases the dynamic range by combining multiple imaes/samples with different ISO. So if you set it to ISO100, you get only one sample so there no way to increase the dynamic range.

Planning to buy on my next payday. Di ko na mahintay yung mod sensor (kung meron man nun). Read somewhere that the "orbs" doesn't only happen on x10. Nangyayari rin pala ito sa ibang cam at kahit sa DLSR nangyayari din.

Does Henry's still offer the lowest price for x10?

Any underwater case for X10 na available sa Pinas?

May nakita ako kasi sa Japan pa, http://www.recsea.com/Recsea/products/compact/fuji_whf-x10.html

Meron kay Lis Dicapac. Bought from her and used it snorkeling in KK. http://www.flickr.com/groups/fuji_x10/discuss/72157628409276409/#comment72157630217405282

Are the controls easy to use with the dicapac? Can you still operate the zoom?

Nope, and nope. As I mentioned in my review on flickr: "But operating the camera underwater inside the Dicapac was not easy. I turned the camera on through the Dicapac lens barrel while on land, then ran to the water to take pictures non-stop. I set it to automatically turn-off after 5 minutes of non-use. Of course, there was no chance for me to zoom in or out. It was torture trying to operate any button. It was definitely NOT a fuss-free endeavor." But the good news is, Fiji did not get wet :)

I'm planning to buy a X10. How can I distinguish a X10 with modified sensor from an older X10?

Thanks in advance.

Congrats bro! Please share your shots in the X10 photos thread. :)

@jusap: Wala pa ko nasasagap na balita tungkol diyan sa modified sensor.

How much na po kay mang ramon, i am still interested to buy this as my 2nd body for walk-around shooting. at least no more GAS for the lens since the cam is non-ILC.

Hopefully the successor to the Fuji X10 uses a larger sensor since that's what's trending now in this market category. Canon has the G1X, Sony just released the RX100 with a 1inch sensor, and rumors is that the Panasonic Lumix LX6 will have a 1inch sensor too.

Correct me if I'm wrong (and sorry for the crappy picture). Are these the dreaded "orbs" x10 is plague with?
