my x100 performance keeps on improving!!!!
nice support from fujifilm :)

downloading now hehehe :)

Firmware Details of v1.30

The firmware update Ver.1.30 from ver1.21 incorporates the following issues:
For operation of newly added functions, which are described as following item 1, please download PDF data issued as "X100 New Feature Guide".
Please check them in detail.
1.
New function for the WIDE CONVERSION LENS WCL-X100 is added to the shooting menu. The function for the WCL-X100 can also be allocated to "Fn/RAW" button.
2.
Hold the "AE/AF LOCK" when changing to OVF after one of 25 focus points(inner portion of 49 focus points) is selected in EVF or LCD.
<Notice> "AE/AF LOCK" will be canceled when changing to OVF after one of 25 focus points (outer portion of 49 focus points) is selected in EVF or LCD. In this case, you need to use EVF or LCD to hold the "AE/AF LOCK".
3.
Change of "MIN. SHUTTER SPEED" setting in "ISO AUTO CONTROL" of the shooting menu will be reflected without OFF/ON operation.

The new 28mm adapter has definitely put the X100 back in my radar.  I find 28mm to be a much more useful FL for street shooting.

I just checked prices, and it looks like X100 prices have dropped a bit since I last looked.  I'm hoping Fuji will release the 23mm f/2 lens for the X-Pro1 system sooner rather than later.  I think that'll drop prices for the X100 even more, LOL.

When I first tried the X100, I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be, I felt it was a bit slow for street photography.  And the 65K asking price at that time wasn't playing nice with my wallet.  Especially considering I could get a Pentax 21mm pancake for about half, and not gain too much in size, and yet not lose the speed of a DSLR.

But after seeing this guy > (Tom Starkweather) Flickr Link > really put his X100 to work out in the streets, I'm ready to give the X100 another go.  I should have realized sooner than if I can't shoot in the street with the X100, then it's not because of any limitation on the part of the camera.

i was shooting this weekend at our company team building and notice that my base iso jumped to 800. i checked the ISO setting and to my surprise ISO 100-600 just vanished from the menu! so i tried to do a reset and the ISO 100-600 went back. strange. has anyone experienced this?

Can't say i've experienced that ... and I hope I never do :D

How exactly do you do a reset? Does that reset the firmware to 1.01?

This camera is definitely on my list of cameras to buy. After a lot of reading (reviews, stories and comparative tests), this would be one great option for a compact "lug everywhere" camera, especially now that prices are dropping.

Hi X100 users, some questions lang po:

- how do you deal with parallax error? Big deal ba eto? I've read that the firmware update already resolve this..?
- when using the OVF, kita ba ung lens barrel/tip, same ba as the x10?

Any leak/rumors about the x100 replacement? :)

Salamat! :)

@ leekumkee

- Parallax error is not a big deal when using EVF or LCD only on OVF but there are two center box af which adjust your composition. firmware update already resolved this by puting two af confirmation center box way back from 2nd update i think.

- when using OVF yes makikita mo yun lens tip lalo na pag may hood pero corner lang naman not a biggie for me as i've been using LCD more and more hehehe :)
