For me I would like to see test  on the image quality on high iso of the LX5 compared to the LX3

This is what I am also curious about.  ISO 6400* / 12800* is qualified as "*pixel mixed readout".
Is there anyone from Japan who can decipher this Japanese-English speak?

No positive remarks on the improved grip and faster shutter speed?  As an ex-LX3 owner, I was limited by the 1/2000 speed whenever I wanted to shoot at f/2.0 in bright daylight (specially when shooting with flash on manual mode).  I thus expected that the 1-stop improvement would be a big deal for those interested in this new LX5.

I also think that the zoom support in video and AVCHD Lite is quite a substantial upgrade from the LX3.

Tough crowd to please eh?   :D

The fact that they've got asterisks * beside them, I'm not expecting too much from ISO 6400 and 12800, hehe.  Though if the improved noise reduction of LR3 can do wonders for them, then I'm sold, hehe.

I'm expecting at least a 1 stop improvement in noise performance over the LX3 though, since the LX3 is 2 year old technology already. I'm hoping it's at least a 2 stop improvement though.

The ability to use the GF1's EVF is the biggest plus for me, though I'm not sure how much that adds to bulk.  The addition of the jog dial is nice, but the joystick worked surprisingly well for me, so it's not a real biggie.  I wonder if the red video button is user-customizable, ala the Pentax green button? That would be a real plus if it's reconfigurable.

Also, I wonder if it's still f/2.8 at 60mm, or if that has also changed with the new lens, though on a small sensor cam with OIS as good as this, it probably wouldn't matter much if it went to f/3.3 as early as the 50mm equiv.
PENTAXIAN.

Interest Check:  Alessandro MS-Pro Headphones - PhP 25K.

The best camera is the one you have with you all the time, not the one that stays in your dry box at home.
