lighting in NAS is great! I got really fast shutters

I don't remember the lighting in Araneta... last time I shot there, f4 pa gamit ko... so I guess it would be just as good...

Yup, lighting's great at the NAS. I now tried to shoot at the sidelines. Much more rewarding than shooting from on high.

hi erworm,
nice photos of the cheering squad too. i like the girl on the snare drum.
rare time to see a full routine of the half time cheer of Ateneo on TV. Ok sya.. nice adaptation of the sequence from the movie drumline. Kulang sa pitik at passion.(i hope you don't mind the comment) when they were doing their routine.. maybe they are just careful not to make a boo-boo.

and if they all marched vs a bit of walking/marching... kita sa TV

meron ba kayong permit to shoot sa games? or pwedeng magdala lang ng camera then shoot? i assume press ID gamit niyo o baka mali ako, gusto ko rin sana magshoot ng UAAP kaso baka bawal, thanks

Of course you will need a press ID from the publication or group you are representing. Kung walang IDs eh di naging photo trip lang ito kahit kanina diba?

If your school is part of the UAAP, try to contact them if you can take photos and arrange a pass for you.

Ian posted sa Sports/Action thread that he was able to shoot from the lower box area, gastos lang if you will need to buy tickets.

no prob on the comments man. sige, i-feedback ko sa coach nila. I like the drumline, I used to be in the Babble Band and we never had a chance to perform that way for the school... nagperform kami pero half time show na patawa

there was a time that NAS was letting people in even without a pass, pero last sunday, they asked for my ID. buti na lang meron

... I guess dahil maraming tao last weekend and there were security concerns... lahat ng nasa courtside dapat may ID na ata pati ball boy...

I know of someone who got it even without an ID... nakalusot siguro

Macky bang-bang shot - ISO 1600, 1/400, F4

with these settings I think you can go ISO 800, 1/320, f2.8 and still get the same shot with clean ISO
