Using Oh Flash Ring Flash Reflector for Macro
« on: March 25, 2010, 09:28:19 AM »
I'm talking about the one that you attach to your external flash, while it's mounted on the camera. The lens goes though the round opening in the middle.

Has anyone tried this shooting Macro? Can i get some feedbacks please?  :)

Thanks!

I just bought a Canon Macro Ring Lite MR-14EX and have been trying it out.  It works well but I need to get used to adjusting the power according to the subject matter.

Not sure how it will work with moving things like flying insects.

I'm using a continous LED ringlight from Photoware Hidalgo
it's very bright but quite heavy specially if you're walking on a long trail looking for nice subjects
here's one from our recent trip from the Makiling rainforest

You can't depend on your lens if your imagination is out of focus.

its normal specially if the b/g is too far from the subject. else, use tripod & slow shutter.
