Manila Bay SeaSports Festival 2010 - March 21, 2010
« on: March 22, 2010, 08:11:50 PM »
Finally I found use for my long "stagnant" super berthas (telephotos)

100-500mm zoom telephoto

800mm mirror lens
(David and Goliath race)  :D

Photo-Finish

We are No. 1

And my 1,000mm mirror lens (1,500mm digital equivalent)

Nice action captures. Btw, what aperture setting were you using with your mirror lenses?
It's interesting that the bokeh in your shots doesn't have the donut shapes

K-Mount.  Pentax my cam. Good thing the sun's glowing brightly so as to have my lenses handheld. Hard to follow shots on sports (as well as being the disturbing legs of tripods hehehe)

My mirrors have fixed apertures......1,000mm is f10 and 800mm f11. Donut usually does not appear when focus is near or at infinity and with glare at background. Near infinity just fuzzy background.  Here are some of my shots with donut. Mid-focus:

Ah, a Tefnon lens, one of lenses made by Kobori. I once had a Kobori 28-200 (my first super zoom during the 80s) but I accidentally scratched its front lens during cleaning and had to trash it. Its a nice lens, sharp although unknown to many photographers. Sige, next week siguro as fully booked na ako this week. You can text me at 09106097155
