Anyone tried this?

The Fastest Lens for Micro 4/3rds
With a maximum aperture of F0.95, the Noktor Hyperprime is the fastest lens designed for Micro Four Thirds cameras.

Extreme Low-light Shooting
In low-light photography and cinematography, the lens exceeds the perception of the human eye. From nightscapes to campfires, now you can shoot in situations that are often impossible to capture with a normal lens.

for $750 (?), its a bargain. for M4/3 only (?), no comment.

if they want more revenue, invest in C & N mounts...

Steve Huff has first impressions - shot with the Olympus EP-2.

http://www.stevehuffphoto.com/2010/03/02/first-look-at-the-noktor-50-f0-95-lens-on-the-olympus-e-p2/

http://www.stevehuffphoto.com/2010/03/03/more-noktor-0-95-and-e-p2-samples/

Doesn't look too bad at all.  I was also looking at the sample shots linked on their Twitter a few days ago, and it's not a very contrasty lens, and bokeh is far from creamy IMO.  But overall, not a bad first 'effort' from an unknown company.  The design is supposedly from a CCTV lens being sold by a Japanese company, so it's most likely just a rebadge, and was not even tweaked at all for M43rds.  Sinaksakan lang siguro ng M43rds mount.

Based on the limited samples I've seen so far, I think it's still a bit of a novelty item.  Especially at that price - I'd rather stick with the 20mm f/1.7.  But then, considering that the closest thing to this lens in a native M43rds mount is the PanaLeica 45mm.. it *might* be worth considering, even though it's only ~$150 cheaper vs the PanaLeica 45mm, but then f/0.95 vs just f/2.8 is a huuuge difference, hehe.

This is a NoktoR, not a NoktoN.
Nokton lenses are of the Cosina-Voigtländer lineage.

Noktor is a US based company; the 50mm f/0.95 seems to be its first product. It seems to be based on a Senko 50mm f/0.95 C-mount (VFA5095H). http://www.senkoadl.com/factory.php. It probably has a smaller image circle, being a CCTV lens, that's why they put it in a m4/3 mount.

Not a bad price, I wonder about the quality though. ???

Noktor and Nokton sound so alike. A case could be made for trademark infringement.
