DIRT ON VIEWFINDER AND QUICK STOP SERVICE CENTERS
« on: January 13, 2011, 03:28:07 PM »
Sirs,

i don't have a dry box yet but will get one asap. i didn't know the importance of dryboxes til now. my units and lenses are stored on their own camera bags & been doing this for quite some time now. i think fungus already accumulated. it's visible in the viewfinder.i tried cleaning the mirrors and low pass filter with the new lenspen but i can't seem to remove it. i can see the molds inside the viewfinder but the mold does not appear on the images. i think it's at the back of the mirror which cannot be reached by the air blower and lenspen. is there anyway to remove it??

my other question is where  can i bring my units for a quick cleaning and tune up service? no waiting for 3-4 wks like in columbia.  is there such a thing as "we clean while you wait"?? hope you can enlighten me.

thanks.
