The XS Pro is slimmer and is better.

Overall I still think b+w is better.

The XS Pro is also in brass mount, while most of the local B+W MRC UV's that are sold are in alloy mounts only (Asian version b+w)

What about the mount of HOYA HD UV? Are they slim type? (Compare to B+W 070 MRC UV filters)

Yes the Hoya HD UV is slim as well. But the XSPro 007 is slimmer.

Have you tried and compare both 77mm HOYA HD UV and B+W XS-PRO on 24-70L with 5DII? Especially at 24mm end? Because I am concerning about their vignetting and UV blocking performance difference (since XS-PRO is a clear filter only). I appreciate if you can provide some sample pictures. Thanks!

I'm sure both won't vignette.

Vignetting is a problem for Ultra Wide Angles, the 16-35 or the 17-40 range on Full Frame cameras.

24mm is considered wide angle. I've actually tried stacking a Hoya ND400/B+W ND106/B+W ND110 + CPL on the 24mm and no vignetting.
