What would be the best RH and temperature to have considering the different weathers we have and considering the different room conditions that everybody has?

I believe an RH of 40-60% would be ideal...am not sure about the temp though.
It's not what we've got......but how we use it!

Actually, meron dry box which is a simple air-tight plastic box. But you have to have moisture-absorber/dessicants which are either disposable or re-chargeable. Mas hustle because every time you see the hygrometer going beyond 60, you have to open the box and expose your equipment to high RH while re-charging the dessicant.

mga sirs, meron po akong medyo toink na question: paano gawin yun salt test kung nakakabit sa dry box yun hygrometer? lahat kasi na na google ko,  hiwalay yun hygrometer, tapos linalagay sya sa isang airsealed container kasama yun moist salt. since nakakabit na talaga sa dry box yun hygrometer ko, ilalagay ko lang ba yun moist salt sa loob ng dry box?

pasensya na kung mababaw yun tanong ... ???

boss, wag mo gawin ang salt test sa loob ng drybox mo kse magkaka-humid sa loob baka ma-apektuhan ang gears mo. Dapat tanggal ang hygro sa box....hindi ba pwede tanggalin? Ano bang gamit mo na drybox? Baka yan yung dry cabinet na automatic de-kuryente. Sa pagkakaintindi ko ang salt test para lang dun sa mga DIY na dry-box. I maybe wrong...

Malamang natatanggal yun hygrometer, kailangan lang sigurong sungkitin :D Pagtakot ka baka masira pag sinungkit, bili ka nalang ng isa pang hygrometer at yun ang salt test mo then compare nalang yun reading ng dalawa.

mga sir, I'm really new to cameras.  And I've read in this post yung DIY dry box.  I just want to ask kung san nakakabili ng affordable pero reliable na hygrometer sa ngayon?  Meron na kasi ako nung 10L na Lock & Lock and silica gels.  Salamat  :)

Bago palang one month palang siguro sir.
Dapat makita mong mag-pull down yung RH in about a day lang...
It all started with just wanting a little better result compared to what my P&S can produce...

Hi guys, ok lang ba yung humidity level ng drybox ko @ 25 - 30 RH? kasi dati nasa 40-60 yung ideal diba? kasi dati isang demudifier(eto yung nabibili sa blade nasa 88php 4 pcs) saka 3 pieces mayer silica gel. sobra ba yung demudifier na lagay ko? concern ko lang masama ba sa gear ko sobrang humid sa loob?

I just got back from baguio nitong long weekend, so my gear got really exposed to the cold environment, everytime i take out my gear out of my bag the lens fogs up, nag dala ako ng silica gels marami tinadtad ko yung bag ko kaya ambigat rin hehe. anyways pag dating ko dito sa manila linagay ko na sa diy drybox ko. is that good enough na ba?

yan dehumidifier sa blade disposable? 88php for 4 pcs na? ok naman?

I understand ang ideal is 40-60% pag masyadong dry nakakasama din sa gears natin
