A seminar on the business of photography is forthcoming. I will make the announcement on this forum as soon as details are confirmed.

In the meantime, I'm sharing some ideas on the business of photography on my blog:

If you have questions or comments, I would be glad to share whatever I can from the almost 34 years that we have been in the business of photography.

I made a pricing guide of my own based on the Cost of Doing Business manual

This plus other guides on the business of photography can be found on the author's website:

     http://www.burnsautoparts.com

Basically, you add up the cost of your gear, bills, rental, salaries, and other costs
of doing business for a year and then divide that by the estimated number of days
you expect to be shooting.  That would give you a guide on how much you need
per shooting day to stay clear of the red.  Then you can base your quotations, bills,
and project estimates on that with a sound mind that you're not operating at a loss
and have enough profit to keep you afloat :)
