I think this camera is the perfect mix between Canon S100's portability and Fuji X10's sensor capability, even more! :)
Pricey... yes, but it's definitely an option :)

Does anyone know who's selling this in Manila?

there are some sellers in TPC. I'm waiting for Digital Walker to pick this up and see how this would cost locally with Sony warranty.

I'm scared to buy from TPC.  They're all meet ups and don't have store addresses.  I can wait.

Thanks.

It's either this or the X10. I know the X10 is an 'old' camera pero what I want with the X10 are the controls and that large apeture lens. 1.8 on 28mm lang ang ang RX100 e although capable naman ang high ISO. :D plus the form factor of the RX100 does lessen room for buttons.

which one to pick. which one to pick. hehehe

Lamang pa din yun X10 sa f/2.8 on the longer end plus the higher fps. Parang I will still keep my X10 although the better pocketability of the RX100 and S100 is still appealing.

oo nga e. I like big apertures pa naman :P but hey, that's why we have bags for slightly bigger cameras that wont fit in our pockets :P

Although, RX100 isn't that pocket friendly kung tutuusin, medyo makapal pa din sya diba? Well kung sa jacket then no problem.

Hi i opted to get it at Amazon for $648. The U.S. units are NTSC while the HK units retail for HK$ 4950 are PAL versions. HTH

Width and height wise it's just a little larger than a Canon S100. The biggest difference comes from the depth compared to an Canon S100.

However, it's still quite pocketable in jeans though I guess it also depends how large your jeans are.

I think the pictures in these 4 shots were at ISO 1600. Performance is quite impressive for point and shoot. It should prove useful for venues and events where you can't bring in a larger DSLR or even a smaller mirrorless interchangeable lens camera.

This is an interesting small camera. I hope it's a lot cheaper than the Canon G1X. The sensor is excellent because it's Sony.

Nothing compares at this point, surely the bar will be raised but for now this is it.
