I had a chance to shoot a ball game with the OMD, 12-35mm f/2.8 - I think it's quite workable, I just wish I  have a longer fast zoom to work with.

The tilting LCD is also a major boon for ageing peeps with a balky back like me and provides cool angles and POVs :)
To God be the glory!

Hi Binggy,

I noticed that you have the OLy 9-18mm. Okay ba to for wide angle? are you satisfied with the IQ? Eto sana bibilhin ko instead of the expensive Pana 7-14 but I got turned off sa review ng dpreview.:-))

My wife and I will be travelling to Europe next month, I want to get her a landscape and "tight-space" lens to compliment her Oly 12-50...:-)

Thank yoiu

@jaeb

I used to think the 12-50mm kit lens was good enough but that changed when I got the 9-18mm. These days, the 12-50mm is brought along almost purely for macro shots :D  The 9-18 is sharper than the 12-50 but the real benefit is the additional 3mm you gain on the wide end. 3mm on the zoom end is negligible but on the wide end, it's huge! To see the extra width for yourself, shoot at 15mm using your kit lens then at 12mm and you'll have a sense of what you'll get.

The 7-14 is larger and doesn't accept filters. Even if you don't use filters, the extra heft could very well be an issue especially since you're in the m4/3 system to save on size and weight. If you don't plan to use filters and won't mind the added heft, go for the 7-14mm.

Also get the 45mm 1.8.  It's a wonderful lens!  Then if you have some cash to spare, I highly recommend the Olympus 75-300 too. Between the 9-18mm, 45mm and 75-300mm you'll have a complete system to fully cover your vacation.

Thanks... I think I just have to settle for the 9-18 and 12-50 due to budget constraints.:-D Much better sana kung may benta ng second hand na 9-18 and 45mm.hehehe
